Additional Cover for Valuables

Comprehensive, Annual Multi-trip & Winter Sports policies include cover for Baggage & Personal Effects up to a total of £3,000, with a single item limit and valuables limit of £300. You can increase this cover up to an additional total value of £1,000. For example you can add one additional item valued at £1,000, OR, you can add more than one item with a combined value of £1,000 (for example 2 items of £500 each). See below terms apply.

Globetrekkers Standard Plus & Regular Cover includes cover for Baggage & Personal Effects up to a total of £1,000, with a single item and valuables limit of £150. You can increase this cover up to an additional total value of £500. For example you can add one additional item valued up to £500, OR, more than one item with a combined value of £500 (for example two items valued at £300 and £200). See below, terms apply.

Please note that baggage claims are settled on an Indemnity basis only. Therefore the second hand value of the item today (not as new).

2. Single Item limit and total valuables limit is £1,000 on Comprehensive, Annual Multi Trip and Winter Sports.

Premium Charged for item 1 = 30% of the total Premium (Minimum charge = £20)
Premium Charged on item 2 = £85.00.

How do I cover Valuables?

Additional cover for valuables can be arranged easily at Step 3 on the ‘Extras page’ ‘Add Additional Cover for Valuables’ Option: you just need to specify the make, model, product age, serial No and value (in UK pounds) of each valuable. Note: In the event of a claim, the insurers will pay the current (second hand) value of the item. Cover is not replacement as new.
