How do I cover?
Additional cover for valuables can be arranged easily at Step 3 on the ‘Extras page’ ‘Add Additional Cover for Valuables’ Option: you just need to specify the make, model, product age, serial number and value (in UK pounds) of each valuable. Note: In the event of a claim, the insurers will pay the current (second hand) value of the item. Cover is not replacement as new.
What can I cover?
These options come in two levels of cover, to increase the cover for valuable items such as
Event Cancellation extension provides cover if your trip has been arranged to attend a sporting or entertainment event that you have purchased tickets for prior to your trip, and that event is cancelled.
Section Cover | Maximum Sums Insured per Person | Excess per Claim |
Cancellation Prior to Departure | Up to £100 for Unused Event Tickets in total | Nil |
Cancellation After Arrival at Destination | Up to £100 for Unused Event Tickets in total including Up to £50 Compensation Benefit in total | Nil |
Amount you pay towards the cost of each claim under the Policy after the application of the Policy limits. Excess waiver extension costs as little as £7 but this option will ensure that there will be no Excess deduction from your settlement in the event of a claim.
Excess is the amount you are responsible for in the event of a claim. In other words, if you make a claim on your Travel Insurance Policy, the excess is the sum that will be deducted from your claim settlement. For example, if you make a successful claim for £500 and your excess is £50, you will receive £450, because you must fund the first £50 - your excess.

Return Home option is a extra cover available for the long-term Globetrekkers policies.
Our travel insurance policies provide cover for many adventure activities covered under each category and important terms and conditions that apply:
If you plan to participate in any Winter Sports Activities, you need to purchase Winter Sports cover, or an Annual Multi Trip Policy with an individual ‘trip duration’ of 45 days or more (as this will give you 17 days free Winter Sports Cover).
Extra cancellation cover, no need to replace your existing policy, covers your more expensive holiday costs.
Cancellation Top Up is available for people aged up to 70 years on Globelink Comprehensive and Annual Multi Trip policies. You can purchase up to an additional £3000 of cover per person. This means the total Cancellation cover can be increased up to £9000 per person if required.
